GO LOCAL FIRST Campaign Supporting Small Businesses
The GO LOCAL FIRST campaign, funded by the federal government, has just been launched by the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia (COSBOA).
The national campaign is designed to support the recovery of Australia’s small businesses, by urging Australians to buy local products and services.
Running for six months, the campaign will involve nationwide broadcast and digital advertising about the importance of shopping local to support small and medium businesses.
As well as encouraging Australian consumers to spend more with small business and small businesses online, it’s also about encouraging small business owners to use other small businesses as suppliers.
Small businesses across the country are being invited to get involved.
How can you get involved?
You can get involved by visiting the GO LOCAL FIRST website. The Tips & Toolkits page includes ideas for sharing the message on social media and helping to coordinate local signage campaigns and promotional activities, using the logo and hashtag:
You can also register your interest in being involved, including being nominated or nominating a business to share stories and be highlighted on the GO LOCAL FIRST digital channels:
There are approximately 3.5 million small businesses in Australia, accounting for one third of Australian economic activity. We all need to get behind each other and help this campaign to help small businesses.
