We are excited to announce that our business is officially Great Place to Work certified! At The Macro Group, we value our workplace culture and believe it is key to building engagement, trust, and productivity, all of which are instrumental in creating a successful business. We are honored to have received our certification and are excited to continue refining and improving our workplace environment.

Who are Great Place to Work?

Great Place to Work is an established organization which works with businesses, non-profits, and government agencies in more than 60 countries to foster positive work environments. Since 1992, they have surveyed more than 100 million employees around the world to define what makes a great workplace: trust. They have used these findings to create a survey that proficiently assesses workplace environments.

The Great Place to Work Certification

A few weeks ago, our employees participated in the employee survey, the trust index. This survey, built on 30 years of research, is proven to help quantify company culture, increase employee engagement, and ultimately improve workplace culture.

The trust index measures five key business traits: credibility, respect, pride, camaraderie, and fairness and is trusted as the definitive standard of what it means to be a great workplace. The survey is also trusted by thousands of the World’s Best Workplaces including Adobe, Hilton, AT&T and American Express. Find out more about the survey here.

To gain this certification, eligible businesses with 10+ employees must receive 65% or higher on their employee survey. Some of our results include:

• 92% Leadership Behaviour: which measures people’s experience with leader’s behaviour and how it aligns with the company’s values.
• 85% Engagement: which measures the degree to which people are tuned into their work and give more of themselves than required.
• 94% Justice: which measures the extent to which our workplace promotes inclusive behaviour.

Why this survey was important to us

We wanted to participate in this survey to gain a reliable, third-party assessment of our work environment. We believe this survey holds us accountable for maintaining a positive workplace for our current employees, creating an attractive workplace for future employees, and identifying how we can better our workplace culture.
